The Illawarra Portrait Prize celebrates the art of portraiture and the incredible talent within our region. Now in its 2026 edition, the Prize invites artists to explore the power of human expression and story telling.

 

Entries are now open  to artists within our region. Key dates and information are listed below.

Exhibition Dates: June 17-28 2026, Timbermill Gallery 2-6 Molloy St Bulli

Entry Fee: $40 per entry (limited to three entries)

Entries Close: Friday 23 May 2026

Prizes Include...

First Prize: $1000 cash, $1,000 Fantastic Framing voucher and two weeks free gallery hire at Timbermill Gallery, Bulli

Highly Commended: $500 cash

Curator's Choice: Artist's pack and voucher from Levers Art Supplies

People's Choice: $200 cash and artist's pack
